Can You See It?

       A helpful tool in jump starting your thinking patterns is visualization.  What is it you want in your life?  What do you want to choose as your life experiences?  Okay, now use your imagination! Visualize it! See it in your mind's eye. 

       You could also write down what you want for your life. This will help you in focusing your energy on what you want, not what you don't want.  Take a journal, write out phrases like:

       "I am-- <the kind of person you want to be>."

       "I have --<good things you would like to receive in your life>."

       "I feel-- <the way you want to feel everyday >." 

       Remember, Your thoughts are you and determines how you feel!

       Write down anything that brings you joy and happiness.  Focus only on what you want and avoid worrying about what you don't want.  If you focus on what you don't want, that is what you will attract!

       Use the above suggestions as reminder statements in your visualization practices. Carry this journal with you and as you have free time, open it and use it to focus your energy on the life you want to attract.

All Your Heart Desires

       Continue to use visualization every day.  Imagine your ideal life and all the pieces that fit into the picture you are painting for yourself.  Feel its presence as though you have it right now.  Soon you will see subtle changes in your life circumstances.  Things that you desire will start making their way into your reach.  You will witness your life changing before your eyes if you stick with it and believe that you have the power to change your reality just by changing your perception.

Can You FEEL It?

       Okay, now for a key part to getting the life you want.  How do you feel right now? If you feel good then you are on the right track to attracting what you want.  On the other hand, if you feel bad then your most important job is to change that feeling first.  Do whatever it takes to feel happy.  Go for a drive, a walk, or a jog.  Listen to good music, read an encouraging book, or write about what makes you thankful.  Call a supportive friend, paint, do yoga, or draw.  Do what makes your heart sing.  After all, you can only attract good things into your life when you feel good about yourself and your life.

Spread Your Wings and Try It Out

       As I have shown, positive thoughts are very powerful.  Know that everyone possesses the power to attract great things.  It makes no difference who you are, what you've done, what your life is like now,  or what anybody has done to you; only you have control over your life. If you are not satisfied with your life, change it and never look back.  The past is irrelevant; only the here and now is significant.  So start now.

Change It Up!

       To break the pattern of negativity your first focus will be the content of your thoughts.  In order to begin to change your thoughts, become conscious of them.  Do this by watching your thoughts and listening to your voice inside your head. (you know that little voice you battle with everyday that tells you the should's, would's, and could's that you must do in order to be a good person). Watch your automatic reactions as mental movies play through your mind everyday.  Observe them as you would if you were people watching.  Ask yourself, "Are my thoughts predominately bringing me joy and peace or fear and anxiety?"
       
       As you observe your thoughts, take care not to judge the actual thoughts or feelings.  What you want to do is just witness them.  Know that they are there and know how they make you feel.  There is no need to judge or control them.  If you start to judge or control them, you will simply keep adding to your unhappiness.


Can You Detect a Pattern?

       As you begin to observe your thoughts, you may realize that you are creating them through repetitive mind patterns.  For instance, if something (a person, place, idea, a certain food, or comment, etc.) brings up a memory from your past it will also bring up a particular feeling associated with it.  Depending on the feeling that comes up, it may cause you to feel good or bad.  This feeling will then create an avalanche effect and begin to modify your perception as the day goes by.  Therefore, if the memory was bad your day may take a turn for the worse; or that is how you will perceive it at least. You will begin to have bad reactions to the regular things that happen throughout your day.  This will avalanche until something else plays into your day and succeeds in bringing up a different memory and feeling, then again changing your perception. These cycles are what I mean by "repetitive mind patterns."

You are the Creator.

       You begin to see the thoughts that you allow to enter in your mind are in fact what control your thoughts in the first place. You can also see how one thought can effectively alter your whole perception and ultimately your reality. Armed with this knowledge, you can begin to refocus your energy on positive thoughts and take your energy away from negative thoughts.

Positivity Breeds Positivity.

       A "positive" attitude is simply a fusion of a many single positive thoughts.  So essentially, you begin to select your thoughts instead of just reacting to outside situations.  You always have a choice to see the glass as half full or half empty.  As you begin to select your thoughts, you will become more conscious of their repetitiveness. You will see just how easily they affect your mood.  You will automatically begin to distinguish what thoughts make you feel good (positive thoughts) and what thoughts make you feel bad (negative thoughts). 

If you want to change your life, change your thoughtsActions follow thoughts, life follows action.  If you want true happiness, you must manifest happiness in your thoughts.  If you want love, focus your thoughts on love and you will find it (or it will find you).

       If, as quantum physics leads us to believe, we are all composed of energy, then our thoughts emit energy (thoughts are like radio waves). Think about when you feel as though a person gives off a "negative vibe" that is because they are giving off energy.  Another is example is when you are around an enthusiastic person and notice that you feel a bit happier yourself, just from being in their presence. 

       In theory, many people realize that a person's mindset is what makes you who you are.  However, I don't see many people taking this farther then just talking about it or reading about it. I don't see many people actually using the law of attraction to make there lives into what they desire.

       We all see plainly that if you are positive, people will tend to be attracted to your energy.  If you have a negative attitude people will not enjoy your energy as much.  Whether you realize it or not, you are creating your own life by the thoughts that dominate your mind.  So positive people get the pleasant things that they desire by having a good attitude.  While all the rest, will moan and groan and wonder why the good things they desire always seem to slip through their fingers. This is the law of attraction at work and like it or not, you are getting what you ask for.
