It's like our minds know we want to be better but don't know how to get there!

       It is like our minds know there is a better way, but cannot decide to abandon our existing ways and try something else. I can say for myself, the powers or feelings that held me back were subconscious but in many instances were right in my face and part of everyday life.        

Example: My subconscious fear of failure would lead me come up with excuses as to why I did not want to do something; this was subconscious. My negative excuses that were a part of my daily life reinforced the hidden feelings of "I will fail." The negative actions I choose to take were a part of my everyday life and more importantly, something I controlled. I could have just as easily told myself positive reaffirmations and made a different experience.

The difference between the two:


Don't be, Don't do, Don't feel, Don't act……

       Our lives are full of ideas of why we cannot or why we should not do anything besides what we know, feel good about, or are acceptable to society. We are faced with not only our lives, but also every irrational person that cannot see their place in the world and places their emotional baggage on everyone else.

       The news is especially good at multiplying panic, creating biased fear and passing blame. The ratings skyrocket when they can get their followers to identify with their fearful scandals or paint a picture of an epidemic of some sort.  You want to talk about an epidemic; we should start paying attention to the epidemic of negativity in our minds that create panic in the first place.

       Negativity about the world will not stop growing or taking over. If we keep blaming others and keep reliving the same experiences from our unconscious minds while repeatedly spreading hate and fear to keep our unhappy mind's thoughts validated, no positive change can ever replace the negative. We are living life from a skewed, fearful picture that is only true to our lives. Each decision made from a mind that is rooted in fear cannot produce rational, equal judgments.

If we want an epidemic to concentrate our life's energy, we should look to ourselves.

       ¹If you want to talk about an epidemic of destruction to the human race and eventually the world, we should talk more about the destruction of ourselves with our way of life. Our inability to move past our emotions and live whole lives is an epidemic that tops all. We are in self-destruct mode and are not aware of it. 

Our Levels of Happiness…

       Our society's definition of happiness is escaping. It is not just being or ok with our existence and our lives, the feeling of happiness has been reduced in our minds to just not feeling pain. Not feeling pain at all cost whether it is:


       The obvious ones are smoking, using drugs (of any kind, even the "legal ones"), serial relationships etc. These few addictions are no doubt to serve dysfunction but other addictions, which can be beneficial to life can become harmful (if abused) as well. Things like excessively needing/wanting sex, eating, shopping, reading, working to make money, exercising are all aspects that can improve life but are often used to validate or escape misguided, hidden feelings about ourselves.

       I find real personal development or self-help to be quite interesting. In all my years of trying to "be a better person," it was not until the last 5 years that I took functional steps to do so. It was not that before this time I did not want to be happy, I used everything possible to "find happiness." The happiness I was looking for was not happiness; I was looking to get away from unhappiness.
