There is something to be said about leadership. Being able to make your own decisions and not worrying what others are doing really frees up a bunch of time for yourself and living your life. The idea of a leader, in my head, is a view of not needing any one to guide you in any direction or tell you what you need or should do. That is what I CONSIDER a leader but the definition differs.
According to thefreedictionary.com along with many other uses, a leader is one who is in charge or in command of others. I find that a little twisted and also a bit disturbing that our society is so dependent on others, that our interpretation of leader is "someone else has to control or dictate our actions".
You may say "that is just what the word means" but remember language is only a subjective version of a way to communicate our thoughts in a way that others can relate. Two different people can interpret the same idea differently depending on their state of mind. When asked a question like how does being a leader work, one may answer it works great and another may try to explain how it works. This is all subjective to the person who is interpreting and is quite disturbing that our definition of leadership has turned into, "one who is in charge or in command of others."

What is a leader?
Contrary to the definition presented above; a leader is not someone who is in control of others, that is a dictator. Someone who leads does so without the intention of control and with the confidence that his or her actions are ok. It has nothing to do with control or fear and everything to do with how a person feels about themselves.
In fact, one who controls another represents the exact opposite of leadership. A person with the need or initiative to control is only hiding from a fear of exposing their insecurities to others and themselves. If a person is in control, then they do not have to face any potential insecurity that may arouse by others challenging their ideas or beliefs about themselves.
- A leader does what he or she does without any expectation or imposition upon others. A leader is one who lives their own life not reacting to others and setting the path for the rest. If others follow, fine. If not, still the same outcome.
- A leader is a person who takes responsibility for their actions knowing that mistakes are part of life just as much as success.
- A leader is one who is not led by emotions but facts, and brings like results.
- A Leader is a person that is not afraid to face someone else's idea of wrong because that person knows that they can make any situation into what they want it to be.
- A leader is not defined by outside sources or other's opinions of what is acceptable or not, they have the confidence to live what they know and practice that lifestyle.
The thing about leadership is it works with whatever the persons with enough confidence to provide the source of leadership and can serve negativity or positivity. Like the dictionary above, it does not matter what anyone thinks, it is there with knowledge regardless of the person observing the information. You can take it or leave it. The dictionary is, of course, an inanimate object unlike humans but the principle is the same.
